It was nearly a disaster of epic proportions as Freddy Zamora (mostly) and Kikuo Kawase blew a 5-run 9th inning lead, but the Rays managed to win anyway in 11 innings 10-9 to take a 2-0 lead in their best of 5 ALDS. Johnny Soland had a rough start as you can see above, but Chris Williams got him out of it, pitched a clean 5th, and Jeff Brockman was good in middle relief. With some lefties due up in the 9th Zamora got the call but just couldn't get anyone out, and Kawase loaded the bases and gave up a 2-run single to tie it. But Dan Gregory got them off the hook by singling in the game-winner and Jose Mendoza will look to close out the series in two days' time.
