Walkers news: June 24 -- St. Louis 2, Green Bay 0
Record: 41-33, 1st, 3 GA Springfield
Jesse McNaboe and four relievers combined on a five-hit shutout as St. Louis defeated Green Bay 2-0 at PNC Park.
The win was the second straight for the River Walkers to wrap up the three-game series.
McNaboe didn't receive the win, but he did shut out the Mallards on three hits over 5.2 innings. He struck out four and walked three.
Brett McVey (5-0), who finished the sixth inning and worked a scoreless seventh would earn the win after the St. Louis scored the game's only two runs in the top of the eighth.
Abdul-Nasser bin Amr led off that inning with a single off Green Bay reliever Elji Konno.
A one-out single from Bob Saavedra moved bin Amr to third.
Marcos Francis drove them both home with a double.
After the Walkers had the lead, Armando Cintron (0.1 IP) and Mike Fagan (0.2) combined to keep Green Bay off the board in the eighth.
Bobby Westerman handled the ninth for his 10th save.
