Walkers news: June 26 -- St. Louis 12, Green Bay 10

Record: 42-33, 1st, 4.5 GA Springfield
Tied 10-10, St. Louis scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to take the lead and the River Walkers held on for a 12-10 win over Green Bay at Busch Stadium (2006).
It was a wild game.
The Mallards got a solo homer from Sal Valdez off St. Louis starting pitcher Kevin Hrdlicka in the top of the first inning to go up 1-0.
Jackson Miller hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the second off Mallards starter Ernesto Tello to highlight a four-run inning for the Walkers, as they went ahead 4-1.
Bob Saavedra and Marcos Francis hit back-to-back homers off reliever Francisco Justo to lead off the bottom of the fourth for St. Louis, as the Walkers lead grew to 7-1.
Green Bay stormed back to within 7-6 with a pair of homers off Walkers starter Kevin Hrdlicka in the fifth.
Shinya Mori led off the inning with a homer.
Valdez later hit his second long ball of the game, this time a grand slam.
St. Louis responded with three runs in the bottom of the fifth.
Saavedra drove in two of the runs with a double off Dan Sutherland.
Mark Herman later connected for an RBI single off Sutherland.
Down 10-6, Green Bay tallied four times in the top of the sixth to tie the game.
The Mallards banged out five hits in the inning -- including RBI singles from Mario Villa and Devon Reyna off Mike Fagan and Scott Rissler, respectively.
Ray Wells also had an RBI double off Hrdlicka.
Reliever Jesse Gaither drove in a run with a fly ball off Fagan.
The scoring finally came to an end in the bottom of the sixth.
Manuel Coke and Miller led off with consecutive singles off Gaither.
Abdul-Nasser bin Amr scored Coke with a double.
Saavedra plated Miller with a fly ball to left.
It was the fifth poor start in six games for Hrdlicka, who allowed six runs o three hits. He struck out seven and walked three.
Fagan got two outs while being responsible for giving up two runs in the sixth.
Rissler (3-4) finished the sixth and worked a scoreless seventh.
Brett McVey set the Mallards down in order in the eighth.
Armando Cintron did the same in the ninth for his fifth save.
