Season 8 (1994)

The 1970s became the 3rd team to win 2 championships as they beat the 1890s in the World Series in 5 games. Offense dominated the 1994 World Series as an average of 15 runs was scored per game in the series. The 1970s hit 15 HRs and scored 45 runs in the 5 game series.

For the 4th consecutive season, the 1890s and 1900s finished as the top 2 teams in the Golden League. The 1890s won 105 games, setting a new All Decades League record. The 1930s took a big step towards relevance with their best finish since the inception of the league. They were holding tight in 2nd place until their 9-20 record in August derailed their playoff push. The 2010s will have to regroup after their first sub .500 season landed them in the Modern League cellar.

John Ewing (1890s) won his first 12 starts of the season on his way to a 24-6 record and his 3rd Cy Young Award. Jake Stenzel (1890s) became the first player in league history to record a 50/50 season with 52 HR/55 SB.
