Walkers news: June 30 -- Twin Cities 5, St. Louis 1

Record: 43-35, 1st, 4.5 GA Springfield
Twin Cities fell behind early, but beat up from St. Louis rookie starter Ming Xiang for a combined five runs in the bottom of the first and second innings and went on to defeat the River Walkers 5-1 at Target Field (2010).
Marcos Francis hit a solo homer off Snow Cats starting pitcher Garrett Karp in the top of the first.
That would be the only run St. Louis would get.
By the end of the of the first, Twin Cities led 2-1.
Shane King led off the bottom of the inning with a double of Xiang.
He scored on a Victor Machado single.
Mike Sartain followed with the second double of the inning to score Machado.
Sartain later scored on a Jeff Waddell fly ball.
Twin Cities got to Xiang for two more runs in the second.
King again got it going reaching on a one-out error by Francis at second base.
Machado picked up his second RBI of the game with a double.
After Xiang got Sartain to fly out for the second out, Daniel Sanabria reached on the second Francis error of the inning.
Jeff Wadell then earned his second RBI of the game, this time with a single.
Karp didn't last long enough to earn the win, going 4.1 innings during which, he allowed one run on six hits. He struck out four and walked one.
The victory went to Josh Greenburg (2-0), who finished the fifth and pitched a scoreless sixth.
Nick Wilson handled the seventh and got the first out of the eighth.
Danny Patino retired the only batter he faced to get the game to the ninth.
Brian Dowdy set the Walkers down in order to wrap up the win.
