Season 9 (1995)

In a rematch of the 1994 World Series, the 1890s enacted revenge on the 1970s with an 8-6 victory in Game 5 and became the first 3 time champion in league history.

The Golden League continued to be dominated by the 1890s and 1900s, who once again were the playoff representatives for the 5th consecutive season. The 1890s set league records in saves (52) and team wins (106). They were captained by 4 time Cy Young award winner John Ewing (1890s), who led the league in wins for the third time and tied the single season record with 6 shutouts (28 career shutouts). The 1900s had another big campaign from Sam Crawford (1900s) leading the offensive barrage with 56 HRs.

Notable Moments from 1995
-Doc White (1900s) threw the eighth no-hitter in league history vs. the 1890swon July 12, walking 2 batters and striking out 6.
-Jake Stenzel (1890s) set the league record for runs scored in a season with 146. Stenzel had another 40/40 season.
-Paul Hines (Pre1890s) won his 8th Gold Glove Award. Brooks Robinson (1960s) won his 5th consecutive Gold Glove.
-Toad Ramsey (Pre1890s) notched 3,500 career strikeouts.
