Mark Herman tripled with one out in the top of the 14th inning to score Nick Shaw in what proved to be the winning run in St. Louis 8-7 win over Twin Cities at Target Field (2010).
Shaw had gotten on base with a one-out single off Snow Cats relief pitcher Ruben Lopez.
Herman followed with liner into the gap in right center for his third hit of the game and second triple of the season.
Twice the River Walkers allowed late leads to get away to keep the game going.
Leading 5-4 entering the bottom of the ninth, Jonathan Knapp tied it when he led off with a homer of closer Bobby Westerman.
St. Louis scored a pair of runs in the top of the 12th to go up 7-5.
Shaw drove in the first run with a single off Twin Cities relief pitcher Nick Wilson.
Jackson Miller later drew a bases-loaded walk from Wilson to score the second run.
Knapp came through with the big hit again in the bottom of the 12th, connecting on a bases-loaded single off Ron Cox to plate a pair.
Twin Cities jumped out to a 3-0 lead after four innings against St. Louis rookie starting pitcher Billy Hermann.
The Walkers rallied with three in the sixth and two in the top of the seven to grab a 5-3 lead.
Mike Sartain hit a solo homer off Brett McVey in the eighth to make it 5-4.
Hermann, who replaced the struggling Kevin Hrdlicka in the St. Lous rotation, lasted five innings, allowing three runs on five hits. He struck out two and walked three.
The Walkers followed him with seven relief pitchers.
