I have used steam for this game in the past, and it always installs it in the same place as the non-steam game, and there was no data file in the main file. The game always asks some question whether you use Steam or not. You obviously did follow direction, otherwise it would work. Maybe you should uninstall and reinstall correctly. My game works perfectly because it is installed correctly. Silvam told you how to fix your issue with by saving the .prk file and copying it to the park folder. If you do that correctly, it won't overwrite the new .prk file unless you re-install that park. Also, it sounds in your response to him that you are adding that park's new .prk file to each of your other parks. You need to make a new .prk for each park. If you can't figure such a simple thing out, I can't help.
