Walkers news: August 7 -- Columbus 3, St. Louis 2

Adrian Penucci doubled off St. Louis reliever Scott Rissler with two outs in the top of the ninth inning to drive in Antonio Burgos and help give Columbus a 3-2 win at Busch Stadium (2006).
Burgos had reached on a one-out single off reliever Greg Sones.
Rissler then replaced Sones only to have his 2-1 pitch lined to the gap in right center.
The Golden Bears scored single runs off River Walkers starting pitcher Jesse McNaboe in the first two innings to go up 2-0.
Columbus' second inning run came on a Kevin Kendrall homer.
In the bottom of the second, St. Louis rookie Mark Waterson made it 2-1 with a homer off Bears starting pitcher Agustin Perdomo.
The Walkers tied it in the sixth against reliever Josh Schorr.
Manuel Coke and Mark Herman greeted him with consecutive one-out singles.
Coke then scored on a Marcos Francis fly ball to right.
Perdomo lasted 5.1 innings, allowing one run on four hits. He struck out four and didn't issue a walk.
Schorr finished the sixth inning and also worked the seventh.
John Tennant (2-1) earned the win after pitching a 1-2-3 eighth.
Eric Watkins notched his 28th save with a scoreless ninth.
