The Rays snapped back from the largest defeat in World Series (and postseason) history last night to even it up with the Dodgers after a 5-2 win.
Joe Ryan pitched very well, even though he gave up his obligatory homer (to Joc Pederson, not Randy Arozarena surprisingly) and the offense came around after snoozing for a while. Down 2-1 going into the bottom of the 7th and being stifled by Max Fried, the Rays loaded the bases with nobody out (thanks in part to a Dodger error) and
Andrew Greckel cleared them with a double. The bullpen held on with the newly-reactivated
JT Ginn (
Guillermo Zuniga went on the IL after being injured in the ALCS) notching the save despite giving up a few hard-hit balls. So we head to LA with
Tyler Glasnow in tow ready to start Game 3.
