Just out of curiosity, do you look at the pitcher's ratings in determining who you deem good and bad or are you looking at run support and defense that you have in order to judge a keeper?
My team is hitting horribly right now as nobody is hitting close to what their ratings suggest they hit at, but my infield is decent and I have two outfielders that have great arms. With that I have been looking for trades for pitchers with more stuff ratings and control. Sadly I have one pitcher who is great (9 stuff) but he has 4 stam so it is hit or miss if he can get 5 innings.
Is there a stat that would show the relationship between the starter's innings pitched and the RP's? Like I know there are quality starts and FIP but I mean if a starting pitcher leaves after 6 innings and a 4 run lead and my RP's give up those runs, is there a way to see that is some stat or I would just have to go through each game log and see that individually per game - what starter had a lead and what RP's let that go.
Sorry, I just googled "Meltdown" and now I have to see if I can find that in my pitchers stats. Sounds like that and shutdown would be a good barometer for RP's.
