Walkers news: Dec. 20 -- Theo Epstein to take on assistant GM's rol
The St. Louis River Walkers have hired veteran GM Theo Epstein to be their new assistant general manager.
He replaces Antonio Alfonseca, who recently left the role to become the general manager of the Cleveland Juke Box Heroes.
Alfonseca, 65, had been with St. Louis since the 2027 season and helped build teams which made the postseason four times.
Epstein, who served as GM of the Chicago Cubs in MLB, previously had been with Cleveland as its GM since the 2020 season.
