Xavier Wigfall limited Quad City to one run over seven innings and St. Louis avoided a three-game sweep with a 6-2 win over the Thunder at Busch Stadium (2006).
Wigfall (1-1) allowed one run on four hits over the seven innings. He struck out eight and walked one.
The lone run Wigfall allowed was a home run by Collin Allen in the top of the sixth inning.
It made the score 6-1.
