The Phoenix Speed Devils have jumped off to a 15-3 start to the 1986 season. And while there are many factors, many good performances by individual players, it would be hard to ignore what rookie Hyeong-uk Chun is doing. With his second 3-homer game in less than a week he now leads all of the WPK with 13 home runs thus far- by far the most- while also leading the MGL in batting average at .424, RBI with 27, WAR among batters with 2.3, etc. A scary good start for the 23-year old rookie out of South Korea.
A good start to the 1986 season also for Denver Brewers starting pitcher
Stephen Brooks, who improved to 4-0 with a win yesterday over Montreal, giving the Brewers their sixth straight victory.
Brooks lasted 6 2/3rds innings, giving up just 1 run on 4 hits, striking out 8 and walking 4.
