First, happy for the team from Gear Terrace. A wild postseason for the Warrriors definitely had to include Shinbone, their season-long rival. Their series went the full five games, starting with the Stars’ Pete Alexander shutting out the Warriors on four hits in a 7-0 victory. The Warriors won the 2nd game before each team won in extra innings, setting up a potential epic game five. However, game five turned out to be as anticlimactic as game one, though in the opposite direction, as Alexander coughed up 7 earned runs on the way to a 12-1 drubbing by Gear Terrace. It was up and down the rest of the way for the Warriors, as they both lost big (9-1 and 6-0), but won bigger (18-1 and 10-1) in various games.
Second, OL22 will obviously be over once Stanley checks out. A tremendous thank you to him for all the record-keeping, award-making, and general stewardship of the league!
It looks like I'll cover Silver this week for the last go-round.
