As the regular season comes to an end with the team going 8-6 down the final stretch, management can count their first goal as being completed as they made the playoffs in the 6th seed in the conference. Despite selling off many key pieces of the roster, the Petes were powered by an extremely young and dynamic roster. The playoffs will be no easy feat though, as they face the Barrie Colts in the first round who finished the year with a 42-25-1 record compared to Peterborough's 33-28-7. Barrie's strength is driven by a strong top six featuring some of the league's top players including Oskar Olausson and Hunter Haight to form one of the best forward corp in the league. Looking back on the season, the team greatly exceeded expectations, with Luke Misa ending with the 2nd most goals and points in the league only behind Shane Wright. Additionally, Quentin Musty is returning from injury just in time for the first playoff game which will make it an interesting series.
