AWARDS HISTORY
John Beckwith claims his second straight Wagner-Lajoie in the AL, as does Mel Ott in the NL.
The newly-minted Johnsons-Waddell Medals go to Red Ruffing (his first) and Andy Cooper (his third), while relievers Nip Winters and our own Walter Anderson get gongs for their fine seasons from the pen.
RoY honours go to Boston's Ben Chapman and Wally Berger, who just edges out Josh Gibson.
