Walkers news: July 23 -- Quad City 15, St. Louis 3

Record: 52-42, 3rd, 5 GB Springfield
Quad City piled up seven runs in just less than five innings against St. Louis starting pitcher Xavier Wigfall, the Thunder then added eight more against the River Walkers bullpen over the remaining innings as it rolled to a 15-3 win at Busch Stadium (2006).
QC scored two runs in the second, three in the fourth, two in the fifth before really busting loose with a seven-run top of the seventh.
After that, for good measure, the Thunder scored once in the ninth for its 15th run.
The game actually was tied 2-2 going into the top of the fourth.
Jacob Gonzalez wiped out that with a three-run homer off Wigfall to make it 5-2.
An inning later, Collins Allen connected on for an RBI single off Wigfall.
Wigfall stayed in the game to face Paul Totten, who doubled to make it 7-
2.
seven-run eighth featured just one batter who drove in more than one run.
That was from Bruce Navarette who plated the frame's first two runs with a single off Brett McVey.
Thunder starting pitcher Jesse Blount (2-3) allowing two runs on three hits over the first five innings. He struck out two and walked four.
Sal Avila and Sean Gilley both pitched two innings to close out the game.
