There is a book titled The Origins of Baseball in St. Louis, with an image of the 1867 Empires on the cover. While the image caption is a bit blurry, Wirth is labeled as the man standing third from left.

There is also a mention in one of his obituaries that his image once appeared in Harper's Weekly, but it doesn't give a year and I have been unable to locate it using various search tools.

I did not know that book existed. As a fan of St. Louis baseball history, I have now ordered it. Thank you!
