Kevin Hrdlicka pitched seven innings of shutout ball and Manuel Coke provided the game's lone run with a homer as St. Louis downed Chicago 1-0 at Busch Stadium (2006).
Hrdlicka (9-8), who has gone 8-3 after a 1-5 start, allowed just two singles while striking out 12 and walking just one in his time on the mound.
Jesse Gaither worked a scoreless eighth inning.
Leo Hermosillo handled the ninth for his first save since joining the River Walkers in a July 3 with the G-Men.
Coke hit his 25th homer of the season in the bottom of the fourth inning off Chicago starting pitcher Ryan Keefe.
A 3-1 pitch, it traveled 388 feet over the wall in right field.
