Walkers news: July 31 -- Chicago 5, St. Louis 2

Record: 58-43, 2nd, 1.5 GB Springfield
Chicago hit four home runs off St. Louis starting pitcher Ming Xiang to power the G-Men to a 5-2 win at Busch Stadium (2006).
The barrage began in the top of the first with a two-run shot from Luis Tejada, which was immediately followed by the first of two homers from Josh Rosborough.
The River Walkers used some long balls of their own to get back into it -- getting solo sots from Manuel Coke in the bottom of the first and Mark Waterson in the second to make it 5-2.
G-Men starting pitcher Greg Sadler allowed both homers.
Solo homers by Chicago would account for the rest of the scoring.
Rosborough cranked his second in the game in the top of the sixth.
Tony Nolasco ended Xiang's outing when he hit a two-out solo shot in the seventh to make it 5-2.
Sadler (10-7) earned the win by working 6.1 innings, during which he allowed two runs on five hits. He struck out one and didn't walk a batter.
Efrain Borja worked the seventh and a scoreless eighth.
Adam Olmstead earned his 20th save with a scoreless ninth.
