Some decent-sized trade news!

Having addressed the bullpen with the acquisitions of Yasunari Uehara and Tanner Scott, we set out to once again hopefully fix our perennial black hole at 1B. Kody Hoese has been alright at 263/333/458 but we should be doing better at the position, and Angelo DiSpigna just ain't gettin' it done either. So we did this:

Who is Luis Castro? Glad you asked:

Not too shabby, although given our track record with deadline acquisitions he'll probably hit 230/300/410 or something. He's having a career year and hitting somewhat over his head relative to his ratings and his last two years, so we're probably on the hook for the regression. We'll see. The price wasn't bad - I have pretty much given up on DiSpigna, and Zeke Villegas is a decent starting pitching prospect whom OSA really loves (potential 70 stuff!) but my head scout doesn't (60 with iffy control and movement). Castro is projected for $9M in arbitration next year so it's an open question of whether we'll be able to afford him or not in 2028. For now he slots in as our everyday 1B and he has no discernible platoon splits.
