This has been a battle for a few iterations now. 5* goalies routinely get outplayed by 2.5* goalies over the course of an entire season.
Just from my Youtube save here are the prior Vezina Winner:
2021/22: Connor Hellebuyck (ok awesome)
2022/23: Dan Vladar (2.5* and didn't become a starter the next season after winning the Calder the year prior with a 91.9SV% and 8SO cause AI reasons?)
2023/24: Alex Nedeljkovic (3.0*)(Played 62 Games with a 92.0%SV)
2024/25: Karel Bejmelka (3.0*) (Played 56 Games, going 20-30-5 with a 2.70GAA and a 92.6SV%
