The Fort Wayne Mad Men have owned the best record in the Midwest Baseball League much of the season, and on May 20 they became the first time to clinch a berth in the postseason.
The Mad Men sewed up the American League West Division title with a 3-2 win over Dayton.
At 90-69, Fort Wayne owns a 14-game advantage over second-place Grand Rapids with 13 games remaining.
It is the first playoff berth for Fort Wayne since 2031 and its fifth overall.
The Mad Men's only World Series appearance came in 2028 when they defeated St. Louis for the championship.
