I honestly had no idea that Hardy had made two very mediocre relief appearances for the 1951 Giants, but
he did. I suppose he can take "credit" for helping to build that 13-and-a-half game deficit the team had to climb out of.
But I was doing a general image-search and found this picture of Hardy at Minneapolis (1947-1949):
