A two-run homer from Zach Simon off River Walkers starting pitcher Miguel Cisneros in the bottom of the first inning staked the Traders to a 2-0 lead.
It's lead at 2-1, Grand Rapids added two more runs off Cisneros in the fifth.
Bruce Herrera plated them both with a two-out single.
The Traders added another run in the seventh.

After Herrera hit into a double play, Chris Jensen made it 5-1 with a two-out single.
A RBI single by Ryan Wibbenmeyer in the top of the eighth off reliever Jorge Aristizabel made it 5-2.
But the Traders pretty much put it out of reach with two runs in the bottom of the inning off reliever Frank Jimenez.

Herrera then drove in his third run of the game with a single.
Mark Waterson homered off Hector Gujardo in the ninth to complete the scoring.
