- 1920s catcher Pete Lapan and all of his 0.3 career WAR went third, to the Baby Bears
- Richard Dandridge - who had the grand total of 12 AB in the NeL - went 5th, to the Rangers
- 19th-c OF Count Campau and his extra flash 'tash went 8th, to the Jays
- Leon Ballard - who played 100-odd games in the depths of the Negro minor leagues - went 10th, to the White Sox
I could go on, but won't - suffice to say it was the most bizarre R1 I've ever seen, until a few recognisable names started popping up, including Hack Miller and Al Simmons.
