I've also noticed when doing the CHL import draft that all the prospects have their preference saying "Major Junior", yet almost all of them when drafted will say they are not interested in talking to teams in Canada. Seems like their preference doesn't have enough effect in their actual in game decisions.
Also noticed you can't sign college players after their season ends, like what happens IRL every year.
