The home run derby:
It finally happened! 26 seasons in this save and a Ray finally won the Derby although it was the most bizarre one I've seen. As you may know in OOTP 23 you have the option to watch the Derby without playing it (before you could only sim or play but not watch), and I don't know if it's a result of this change but there were extremely few homers hit in it. Also I finally figured out why there were so many 1-homer victories in each round - it's because OOTP ends the round when a play exceeds his opponent's total instead of letting it finish like they do IRL. Anyway, we had the bizarre sight of Luis Barela winning the Derby 1-0 in the final round as Rob Winchester went first and was shut out, the first time I've ever seen that happen.
The game itself:
Congrats to Doug Johns, MVP of the All-Star Game with a solo homer. Gordie Ager pitched a perfect 1st, and I'm not sure why he didn't get the win since the AL took the lead in the bottom of the inning and never relinquished it. Ben Moses and Jose Castillo didn't play, Seth Williams had a pinch-single and a steal, and Luis Barela and Jose Mendez were hitless.
