Kevin Hrdlicka pitched seven scoreless innings and became St. Louis' second 15-game winner as the River Walkers defeated Louisville 5-2 at Busch Stadium (2006).
Hrdlicka (15-9) allowed just one hit -- a two-out single by Sluggers starting pitcher John Bradley in the top of the third inning -- during his time on the mound.
He also struck out eight but walked five, which led to him throwing 95 pitches in seven innings.
The Walkers jumped in front early on Manuel Coke's 45th home run of the season, a three-run shot off Bradley in the bottom of the first inning.
Mark Herman connected for an RBI triple off Bradley in the fifth, making it 4-0,
Louisville scored single runs in the top of the eighth and ninth to make the final.
Willie Miranda homered off St. Louis reliever Jesse Gaither in the top of the eighth.
Mark Waterson made it 5-1 with an RBI single off Frank Handley in the bottom of the eighth.
Brett McVey gave up Louisville's other run in the ninth.
It came on a triple by Royce Lewis.
