Starting Pitcher of the Year: Ming Xiang: The 26-year-old right-hander didn't miss a beat after his award-winning rookie season going 14-6 in 33 starts with a 3.47 ERA. His 207.1 innings pitched topped the National League. He posted a 1.15 WHIP and struck out 206 batters.
Relief Pitcher of the Year: Craig Fritzler: The 31-year-old closer's first season in St. Louis went about as well as expected. He pitched in 59 games going 3-5 with 34 saves (four blown saves) and a 2.67 ERA. The right-hander pitched a total of 60.2 innings, during which he struck out 94 and had a 1.04 WHIP.
