Walkers news: Nov. 2 -- Pitcher Monroe and first baseman Shaw win Gold Gloves
Starting pitcher Brad Monroe and first baseman Nick Shaw of the St. Louis River Walkers have both been named National League Gold Glove award winners at their positions.
Monroe, 29, in his first season with the River Walkers went 15-6 in 32 starts with a 3.50 ERA.
The Gold Glove is the first of his career.
Monroe is expected to be a free agent in the offseason.
Shaw, 29, won the fifth Gold Glove of his career.
At the plate, Shaw batted .293 with 20 homers, 80 RBIs and 69 runs scored n 143 games.
