1933 Offseason
Given our pitching problems and the limited avenues at our disposal to redress them I decide to pony up the $18k for another year of Bill McCall’s services. Hopefully, we get a bit more bang for our buck from him than we have to this point.
The Browns fire skipper Dutch Rudolph, while Braves pilot Sumner Bowman decides to leave the game on a high.
Not too many big names among this year’s retiring players, but Edd Roush, Lefty Williams, Heinie Sand Joe Judge and Cliff Heathcote all call it quits.
