Considering right now that pitching is pretty bad across the board due to the strong tilt towards offense in tournaments, what I have liked to do is run guys with enough stuff and control to offset any potential movement issues. Pitching is going to get crushed, no matter what you throw out there, so it then becomes incumbent on your pitchers to minimize the damage wherever possible through strikeouts and not self-inflicted mistakes like walks and hit batsmen.
The fact that pitching gets beaten so badly means you cannot run a 6-man bullpen like you could in previous games. Your bullpens will get utterly wrecked from fatigue and that's essentially the end of your tournament without anything to show for it. 8 relievers are absolutely needed.
