Good week in Waffletown so far.... v22 Syrups went 108-54 in Gold tier, finishing the season with a 10 game winning streak (still just 3rd best in the conference, so post season projections are iffy at best)....
v23 Syrups went 104-58 in Iron tier (tops in the league), led by a solid pitching staff (ERA crown to Dan Haren - 2.75; Most pitching wins to Pedro Martinez - 19; Most strikeouts to Pedro Martinez - 286; Highest pitcher WAR to Chris Bosio - 6.6... offensive side was the Boog Powell show, as he led the team in batting average (.293), home runs (47), RBIs (122), hits (175), runs scored (90), and WAR (4.6)... (had plenty of others who finished with a higher average, but didn't qualify for the leaderboard due to lack of ABs)... top record can only mean one thing heading into the playoffs - a first round defeat to the Wild Card team
