I'd hate having them change the player's names to either last only, or first initial last name. Sure easy enough to know who's who when looking at my team but... the opposition? Not as clear cut with trades, callups, injury replacements etc. Also when a full name is on the field I may think I recall it from a previous draft, transaction etc. With last only or initial\last name that goes away too. Martinez, Jackson, or Anderson alone isn't going to trigger anything on it's own.
Sorry, but I have a monitor that lets me see these things with room to spare. I shouldn't have this feature taken away. Doing so takes away from my enjoyment of my game.
Now, if you were to suggest to them to make label boxes in differing sizes and then tie them to different resolutions in the suggestion forum? Like how the scoreboard has a different design for different resolutions. You'd get my support.  |
Well, let's see. The batter and pitcher widget has their full name. The offensive and defensive widget has their full name. If you bother to take 3 seconds to move your cursor over the player the pop up gives his full name. Even the PBP usually has their full name. How many times do you need it repeated???
But whatever. Jeez we are spoiled.
Okay, sorry. It has been a tough day. I can see where playing fictional it may be an issue but I play historical and know the first name of most of the players. But as I said, the first names of the players are probably already on your monitor.
