Walkers news: April 18 -- Quad City 7, St. Louis 6, 12 innings

Record: 4-10, 6th, 4.5 GB Kansas City
Nate Farren homered off St. Louis reliever Ron Cox with two outs in the bottom of the 12th inning to give Quad City a 7-6 win at Fenway Park (1976).
Farren's third homer of the year came on a 0-2 pitch. It soared 423 feet over the Green Monster in left-center field.
The Thunder tied the game in the bottom of the ninth on a two-run homer from Collin Allen off River Walkers closer Craig Fritzler.
It marked Fritzler's third blown save of the season, he had four during the entire 2038 season, while he has just one save.
Thunder starting pitcher Roy Pocock lasted just five innings, allowing three runs on five hits. He struck out four and walked one.
The four relievers who followed Pocock, all pitched one inning.
William Myers, who gave up two runs, Brian Crawford, who gave up one run, and Corey York and Glenn Zoucha, who both pitched scoreless innings.
Bob Robbins held St. Louis scoreless in the 10th and 11th innings, along with recording the first out of the 12th.
Justin Davis and Salvador Rubalcaba got the final two outs of the 12th.
Rubalcaba (2-0) also got his second win of the season.
