Record: 4-11, 6th, 5 GB Quad City
Quad City jumped on St. Louis starting pitcher Miguel Cisneros for three runs in the bottom of the first inning and never trailed routing the River Walkers 12-2 at Fenway Park (1976).
It was an ugly first inning for Cisneros as he gave up three runs on five singles.

The Walkers scored a pair of runs in the top of the second -- Nick Shaw led off with a homer and Alex Boychuk later connected on an RBI double -- to make it close again.
But it didn't last long as the Thunder pushed across two more runs against Cisneros in the third.

Latham also collected his second RBI of the game with a double.
After that, all the runs belonged to QC.
Frank Garcia led off the sixth with a homer off Brett McVey.

McVey sustained the early damage, allowing a pair of singles while walking two,
Naylor drove in a run with a single.
Ron Cox replaced McVey with the bases loaded and one out.
He walked the first batter he faced, Nate Farren, to score Jim Waldron.
David Henderson followed with a single.
With Keith Reiter at the plate, Cox uncorked a wild pitch scoring Kevin Begin to make it 10-2.
Maximiliano Minelli was not any better in the eighth for St. Louis.
After striking out the first batter he faced, Jim Waldron, he gave up a single to Latham and walked Naylor and Begin to load the bases.
J.P. DiPietro then hit into a fielder's choice, scoring Latham.
A wild pitch while David Henderson was at the plate scored Naylor to make it 12-2.
