Game Plan
Our entire coaching staff was huddled together trying to formulate a game plan. At the front of the coaches room, stood our video guru Ron Wilson, who was showing us what seemed like endless footage of the Chicago Blackhawks. "Right there!" Ronnie exclaimed with excitement, "See how they turn it over in transition? We gotta watch for that."
"Yeah, got it." Pat Quinn muttered in response.
The more we watched the Hawks on video, the more impressive they looked. The game itself promised to be one of the biggest of the year, featuring a collision of the top two teams in the league. (With the Hawks only two points back, and currently riding a nine game winning streak). By comparison, we barely managed a tie in our last game, but even worse than that, all our losses had come on home ice, so we were definitely feeling pressure to improve our home record.
As the lights came on in the coaches room, so too the Hawks could no longer hide.
