St. Louis pounded out 15 runs on 18 hits and Kevin Hrdlicka tossed eight shut-out innings as the River Walkers routed Louisville 15-0 at Busch Stadium (2006).
Hrdrlicka (2-2) allowed five hits over the first eight innings. He struck out 14 and walked one.
The right-hander did start the ninth but left after giving up a lead-off single to Lance Brown.
Maximillino Minelli, just re-called from AAA Memphis, took over and got out of the inning without allowing a run.
A Joe Allen homer leading off the bottom of the second off Sluggers starting pitcher Jason James gave St. Louis a 1-0 lead.
After that, the Walkers scored at least two runs in the fourth through seventh innings -- seventh in the fourth, two in the fifth and sixth and thee in the seventh -- as they posted a lopsided win.
Among the big bats were:
Manual Coke -- two for six with two doubles, a run scored and four RBIs.
Allen -- two for three with a homer, three runs scored and three RBIs.
Ryan Wibbenmeyer -- three for five with two runs scored and two RBIs.
Nolan Gorman -- three for four with two runs scored and two RBIs.
