Walkers news: May 29 -- St. Louis 5, Cedar Rapids 0
Record: 23-28, 7th, 7 GB Cedar Rapids
Miguel Cisnero shut out Cedar Rapids on four hits as St. Louis downed the Grapplers 5-0 at Busch Stadium (2006).
The win gave the River Walkers victories in two of three games in the series.
Cisneros needed just 78 pitches to get through the game. He struck out eight and walked two.
It marked the Walkers' first shut out of the season and Cisneros fifth of his career.
Making just his second major league start, Mike Vaughn tallied the game's first run when he managed a baseball rarity hitting an inside-the-park homer off Grapplers starting pitcher Joel Glenn.
St. Louis added two more runs in the fourth.
Nick Shaw led off the inning with a homer off Glenn.
Manuel Coke followed that hit with a double.
He scored on a Kerry Fackelman two-out single.
Cisneros collected an RBI in the seventh when he got down a bunt to score Chris Gibbs, who had drawn a one-out walk from Dan Bouwman.
Fackelman collected an RBI in the eighth when he doubled off Elijah Louis, scoring Shaw who had reached on an error by left-fielder Jose Morillo.
