Game 1: 5-1 W. WP-Chirinos (1-1, 6 5 1 1 3 3). HR-H.Ramos (4), Arozarena (1). Ramos' homer put them ahead to stay in the 4th while Arozarena added a double to his homer as part of a 3-hit day and Curtis Mead had 3 hits including 2 doubles. After the Ramos homer, Abraham Toro was plunked by Mitch Keller precipitating a benches-clearing brawl and was suspended for 4 games.
Transaction: Toro was placed on the restricted list for his suspension and Alec Bohm was recalled from Durham.
Game 2: 4-8 L. LP-Raley (0-1). Starter-Glasnow (5 5 4 4 2 8, 3 HR). Taylor Walls had a pair of RBI hits to put them up 4-2 early, but Glasnow couldn't keep the ball in the park and Raley and JP Feyereisen combined to allow 4 runs in the 6th which cost them the game.
Game 3: 9-2 W. WP-Rasmussen (2-0, 6 6 2 2 1 4). HR-F.Reyes (3). A pair of bases-loaded walks broke a 2-2 tie in the Rays' favor in the 5th and then Curtis Mead cleared the bases with a double to break the game open. Josh Lowe also drove in 3 with a 2-run double and one of those bases-loaded walks.
Team record: 10-7, 1 1/2 games behind Boston. Next up: We return home for 3 vs the Yankees.
