Halfway there...
The Rays pummeled the Cubs with the longball 8-2 to take a 2-0 Series lead.
Dom Scavone was the star with a pair of them, but
Kelly Crumpton's 2-run shot in the first was the biggest, answering a Cub score in the top of the inning, while
Andrew Greckel's 2-run blast in the sixth broke open a 3-2 game. It was a struggle for
Pablo Lopez throughout as he had to pitch out of several jams and leave after 4 due to throwing 94 pitches, but
Wennington Romero was downright heroic in middle relief getting the win with 6 whiffs over 3 one-hit innings. We'll head to Wrigley now and
Joe Ryan will look to replicate his ALCS Game 7 gem to give the Rays a near-insurmountable lead.
