Play it Forward
GM/HC: "...Playing it forward... Whatever happened on the road trip doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is the next play in the next game. We don't bring negative baggage from the past into the present. We approach the next play with a clear mind so we can focus all our attention to make it the best it can be. We play it forward."
A quick turn to address the other side of the room.
GM/HC: "We need to regroup and get back to basics. Back to what gives us our identity as a team. So it's like we've been saying from the beginning, it's all about not quitting on the guy next to you. It's about how deep you're willing to dig for your teammates, that's what makes us a great team."
A long pause as the Coach makes eye contact with each player, one-by-one.
GM/HC: "That's the commitment we have to live up to, and the mindset we have to have, every day! Whadda we say?... You can never guarantee results, but you can always guarantee..."
And the whole team yelled: "Effort!!!"
