Well the first order of business is to fire my Scouting Director and Team Trainer as they weren't fantastic and if we are going to have a decent tilt at the postseason and then build on that then we need the best available staff.

R.J. Harrison is hired as the new Scouting Director after a bit of negotiating with the salary. He is Excellent across all categories except Scouts Major Leagues which is Good and Rick Jameyson is our new Team Trainer who has no rating under Good and the bug one, Prevent Arm Injuries is Legendary.

Transactions
Before Opening Day in Minnesota, the decision was made to trade 39 year old RP Sergio Romo and 23 year old minor league RHP Bryce Miller to the Phillies for 25 year old 3B Alec Bohm and 18 year old 1B Jordan Viars.

OSA rates Viars a little better (53 POT vs 48 POT) than my Scouting Director and could be a very handy 1B in the future.

Our next move was to send 24 year old RHP Levi Stoudt to the Cardinals for 24 year old 1B Juan Yepez back. The plan is for Yepez to act as a DH when Winker plays LF.

And our final trade of April was 31 year old CF Billy Hamilton was sent to Kansas City for a player package. In return we got 26 year old SS Ivan Castillo (to be a backup for JP Crawford), 17 year old LF Henry Ramos and 24 year old 2B Michael Massey back.

Games
For the month of April we went 14-7 which was good enough for 1st place in the AL West. Was worried how we'd go against Houston and Tampa Bay but we went 2-1 against both sides. Finished the month with Julio Rodriguez ending up on the IL for Personal Leave and with Kyle Lewis still on rehab assignment, Taylor Trammell gets his chance.

Love the numbers that Erik Swanson put up for the month of April and so did MLB with Swanson winning AL Pitcher of the Month.
