Pinch-hitter Francisco Montoya singled on a 3-2 pitch with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning off St. Louis reliever Curt Donaldson to drive in Val Moreno with the tying run, as the G-Men defeated the River Walkers 2-1 at Wrigley Field (1938).
Moreno had reached on a one-out single off reliever Juan Munoz.
Alfredo Cano followed with another single to put runners at first and second.
Donaldson replaced Munoz and got Ramiro Hernandez to fly out.
But Montoya lined a pitch past the shortstop to bring Moreno home.
G-Men starting pitcher Lenyn LaMoureaux went five innings, allowing one runs on seven hits. He struck out three and walked one.
Jonathon DiGiovanni and Andres Garcia both pitched scoreless innings of relief before Juan Gomez handled the final two.
Gomez (4-0) collected his fourth win of the season.
