That wraps up another IPA season... will take a few days off and then assign the new rookie class... I create good free agents, ranging from average to good... on occasion I create a few with star ratings... about every 10-15 years, I create one legend...then randomly assign them to the teams, taking into account the team's individual needs... if they need a pitcher, I assign a pitcher... if they need a shortstop, then a shortstop is assigned to them.
I place 3 new players on each team and let the AI handle them.
I do not know the new players' ratings... only their default information... the talent that a team gets is just simply the luck of the draw... this method has worked fairly well overall... I do notice that players do not play as long as they used to at a high level... but so far it is no problem.
