The St. Louis River Walkers have announced the hiring of Lloyd Turner as their new hitting coach. He replaces Phillip Cerreto who was hired by the team during the 2039 season.
Turner, 60, has never worked in the majors before. His last assignment was with the Vermont Lake Monsters of the New York-Penn League.
Cerreto took over as the team's hitting coach in June of 2039.
The Walkers ended up hitting .252 as a team last season.
This season, through 52 games, it is hitting .241.
