After making things difficult for themselves in the ALDS the Rays figured they'd try something different this time around and win the opener, which they did convincingly today.
Kelly Crumpton, 0-for-the-ALDS, remedied that problem right away by doubling in a pair of runs in the first inning, and then
Andrew Greckel and
Joshua Baez put the game away with 2-run homers in the 3rd. This was way more than
Michael Prosecky needed in a great outing and
Luis Severino will try to get the Rays halfway to the World Series tomorrow.
