It's Opening Day and the Detroit Tigers squared off against the Boston Americans. The home fans were treated to a 4 to 2 win, with Noodles Hahn getting the complete game victory. The hype surrounding the matchup of top pitching prospects Doc White and Noodles Hahn was at max level, and the two pitchers did not disappoint. While White's (0-1) control was shaky (7 walks), he flashed moments of dominance. Not to be out done through was Hahn (1-0), who went the distance, allowing just 1 ER, 3 hits, and striking out 5, to get the win. Win Mercer led the way at the plate for the Americans, going 2 for 3 (Double) with 2 Runs and a Walk.
